Camera Shops - Shop, Purchase, Buy Online

Camera Shop For nearly a century cameras have been available to everyone as a means to, pardon the cliché, preserve their most cherished memories, whether in the form of child's smile or in the spectacular play of light over the ocean as the sun set. Cameras have evolved over the last few centuries from simple pin-hole boxes projecting an impermanent image onto a surface, through wooden boxes exposing silver plates coated with photo-sensitive chemicals to light in order to obtain a permanent image, and finally to the sophisticated film-fed cameras and the new, advanced digital cameras of today, which can be found in most camera shops.

Cameras, though each particular model has its own characteristics and features, can be divided into the following general categories: 35mm SLR, Medium Format, Point-&-Shoot, Rangefinder, Polaroid, and Single-Use. The 35mm SLR (which stands for Single Lens Reflex) is the most common type of camera for both amateur and professional photographers due to its versatility, both interms of situation and accessories. Medium Format cameras are bigger cameras that use roll film (as opposed to 35mm film cartridges, which are used by most other cameras) and have better lenses resulting in larger and higher-quality images, though fewer per roll compared to other cameras. The Point-&-Shoot type of camera is comparatively simpler and is meant for casual photographers looking for a straight and decent snapshot. The Rangefinder camera does not have a mirror system for its viewfinder like the SLR cameras and so are far more compact and light, making them ideal for serious photographers "on the go." Finally, Single-use cameras are pretty self-explanatory: they're good only for one roll of film (think of them as disposable cameras) and so are cheap and are suited for a quick "grab & shoot" type situation.

Since there are so many accessories and features to choose from when it comes to cameras, shoppers may find it intimidating to go camera shopping, especially if they're new to the field of photography. However, all online camera shops and local camera shops are more than willing to help shoppers with whatever problems they may have and are even willing to search for and find the ideal camera for any shopper's particular needs, whether just to snag a quick snapshot to show the family, or to fully capture the beauty of the world that surrounds you.
