Cupcakes - Shop, Purchase, Buy Online

Though similar in looks, cupcakes and muffins are quite different. What separates cupcakes from muffins is frosting and other cake decorations, such as sprinkles. Cupcakes may be baked in muffin tins but they were actually originally baked in heavy pottery cups.

A standard cupcake uses the same basic ingredients as standard-sized cakes: butter, sugar, flour, and eggs. Nearly any recipe that is suitable for a layer cake can be used to bake cupcakes; but because of their small size, they bake much faster than layer cakes.
