Travel MonacoWhen you travel Monaco, you will immediately notice its urban appeal. It may be small, with a population of only 33,000, and it may not have any natural resources to exploit but its location serves as the perfect resort for tourists and a tax haven for businesses. The principality of Monaco lies in between the Alps and the Mediterranean Sea, bounded by the beautiful French Riviera to the west and the Italian Riviera to the east.

To travel Monaco is to have access not only to a vibrant urbant region but also to its neighboring countries, France and Italy. The nearest airport from Monaco is the Nice Côte-d’Azur International, just 40 kilometers away from the city-center in France. You can travel by train or car to France and Italy. A TGV train (high-speed train) between Paris and the district of Monte Carlo takes around six and a half hours. Regular buses also connect Monte Carlo with other French destinations, and you can get around for a reasonable price varying between one to thirty euros.

Monaco offers many attractions, such as museums, shopping malls and of course, casinos. Though the casinos are high-end (you need a passport to enter the Grand Casino and the dress code inside is extremely strict that men are required to wear coats and ties), and shopping in Monte Carlo is certainly no place for a budget holiday, there are other places such as the Marlborough Fine Arts Gallery where admission is free. No matter what you're looking for and however much your budget may be, you won't regret where your money ends up if you travel Monaco!
