Earliest reports of ice cream date to Arabia and Ancient China, where a mixture of snow, saltpetre, and syrup which was flavoured with fruit juices and sugar was sold as a treat during summer. Eventually milk was introduced in China and used in the making of ice cream, making it very similar to our modern ice cream. Ummm sounds good, time to go to the ice cream shop. Though preferred as a refreshing yummy during summer, ice cream is available all year-round at any of the many ice cream shops. On
those gruelingly hot days of summer, the favourite treat
of most people is a cool cone of ice cream or, for those
with a bigger craving, a dish of ice cream garnished with
chopped nuts and covered with warm chocolate syrup... time
to go the the ice cream shop. Heck, no matter what time of
the year, ice cream makes an excellent dessert, a guilty
pleasure to top off a great meal or something to redeem one
that's sub-par. In fact, ice cream is so popular that at any large
public gathering it's a common sight to see the ice cream
vendor in his cart selling cold and tasty treats to the throng.
