There's something mystical about the sandwich: so simple and so versatile, yet just so delicious. The only thing that defines a sandwich is the fact that it has some sort of foodstuff held between two or more slices of bread (or even only one slice, in the case of an open-faced sandwich). Compared to other quick-and-easy foods (i.e. fast-food, etc.) sandwiches are a fairly nutritious choice.
