Striking a hollow rubber ball with a stringed racket (or in more technical terms, tennis) is fast becoming North America's favourite sport and past time. Perhaps the Grand Slam tennis tournaments, the most popular being the Wimbledon Championships, is not as televised as the Super Bowl, but tennis as a sport is approaching a new zenith of popularity. As a popularity indicator just look at Anna Kournikova's deodorant ads and the cult popularity of Venus and Serena Williams. Of note to tennis fans: Serena won the Australian Open with a 'Serena Slam' by winning all four Grand Slam tournaments in a row. Good shopping sense will only get you so far; that girl's got skills.
